Because at the heart of it, the Club exists to bring people together, and there's no better place to find your people than on the mountain.

"I was made to feel included and welcome by staff, reps and guests alike, and I would definitely return for another trip."

Rachel, Ski & Spa — first Freshtracks solo holiday
Why it works

Solo doesn't mean alone

Three reasons Freshtracks holidays suit solo skiers so well.

Ski Club members skiing together
1

Ski with People of the Same Ability

Our holidays are sorted by type and ability, so you'll always be skiing with people who want the same thing from their holiday. Check your ski profile to find the right group for you. See our ski profiles →

2

Meet New People

Skiing solo doesn't mean staying solo. Join a group of like-minded members and build genuine social connections that often last well beyond the trip itself.

3

No Need to Organise and Plan

Accommodation, the group, and the evening social programme are all arranged for you. Just turn up and enjoy the mountains, nothing to plan alone.

4

Discover Better Skiing

With professional guiding and instruction built into most holidays, whether it's an instructor building your technique or a guide reading the terrain, expert support is part of the trip.

Single occupancy symbol

Look out for this symbol

Most holidays are on a twin-share basis, with a single room available for a supplement.

This symbol marks holidays with single rooms included, no supplement, no sharing.

What to expect

You're never actually on your own

A typical day, and the community that comes with it.

Morning

Breakfast together

Your Rep and group gather before heading out, so you're never eating alone or working out the day solo.

On the mountain

Matched-ability group

Skiing with people at your exact level, so you're never holding anyone up or being left behind.

Après

The group carries on

The same faces from the slopes, unwinding together, not scattering the second the lifts close.

Evening

The night is never lonely

Join your group for dinner, evening socials, or head to the spa, a warm, easy way to end the day together.

This doesn't end when the trip does, either. Many solo members stay in touch long after, ski together again on future Freshtracks holidays, and build a genuine community that carries on well beyond one week in the mountains.

Before you book

What solo skiers ask us

Will I be the only person travelling alone?

No. Around 85% of our guests travel solo, so on most departures, solo travellers make up the majority of the group, not the exception.

What are the evenings actually like?

Organised socials or dinners with your group, so there's always an easy way to join in. Of course, you can choose to relax and enjoy your own time and space at any stage too.

Will I fit in, whatever my age or ability?

Absolutely. Holidays are grouped by ski profile, so you'll be skiing with people at a similar level to you, not sorted by age. If you'd prefer a specific age group, we also run dedicated Under 35s and Peak Experience (60+) trips.

In members' words

What Freshtrackers say

Once you've done a Freshtracks holiday, you'll keep coming back for more. Started as a solo traveller and now have a growing group of ski buddies which makes the experience even better.

Robin, Advanced Powder Skills

I had a brilliant holiday. Solo skiing can be difficult, but not on a Freshtracks holiday. Everyone is very friendly. The instruction from New Generation was superb again.

Amanda, La Plagne Instruction

I book with Freshtracks because I always have a great time. I enjoy meeting like-minded solo skiers and I know the Ski Club of GB work hard to organise the week well and carefully select experienced Reps.
